Meet Our Team!

-Jennifer is an infertility survivor and thus the reason she feels so passionately that everyone should be able to have the family they want. Surrogacy can be a “last chance” for many hopeful parents-to-be and she knows that no one turns to it easily. The experiences that intended parents have shared with Jenn and the pain they have endured, reinforces her dedication to this field daily. 

Jenn is Director for Bright Futures Families. Her team members describe her as determined, respected, reliable and loyal. 

Jennifer had this to say about the Bright Futures Families team: I wake up every day energized and excited to talk to my incredible teammates in this journey. We are all in this together supporting intended parents and gestational carriers. 

Education: Bachelor of Science

Family: She currently resides in Connecticut with her husband, teenager and 2 dogs.

Fun Fact: Her husband is in the military and in the last 25 years she has moved 18 times, lived in 10 US States, Germany and England.

 

-Ellen started working in this field as an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) lawyer and recognized a need for community-based assistance for gestational carriers and intended parents. Ellen and Jennifer started Colorado Surrogacy to fill that demand, focusing on local matching and support. The company has grown over the years while keeping the same local feel in each area.

Ellen is a Co-Director for Bright Futures Families. Ellen’s team members describe her as resourceful, compassionate, considerate, and supportive.

Education: Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate

Family: She currently resides in Colorado with her husband and four kids.

Fun Fact: Ellen has traveled to 30+ countries and has a black belt in Taekwondo.

-Ashley has transferred three times as a gestational carrier! While the first transfer failed, she went on to successfully carry twins in a 2018 journey and a singleton surrogacy pregnancy in 2020. Ashley understands there are wonderful people out there who would make amazing parents but can’t.

As a case manager for Bright Futures Families, Ashley works tirelessly to put more good into the world.

Ashley’s team members describe her as strong, detailed, upbeat, and exceptional.

Ashley had this to say about the Bright Futures Families team: No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it; Bright Futures Families is an orchestra for building families.

Family: She currently resides in Colorado with her husband, daughter, and 2 dogs.

Interesting tidbit: She falls into the 3% where 1 embryo is transferred and split into twins!

 

-Amanda had the wonderful experience of being a gestational carrier in 2016 and experienced first-hand what a gift it is. Amanda is working for Bright Futures Families to help others avoid the many pitfalls that she experienced in an independent match. She is dedicated as the business and case manager to making the little things enjoyable for others during this process. Amanda’s team members describe her as efficient, determined, fabulous, versatile and resourceful. 

Amanda had this to say about the Bright Futures Families team: Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for one person. Our team strives to do this every day! 

Education: Associate in Arts and Bachelor of Science; AEI & BEI

Family: She currently resides in Colorado with her husband, two adorable boys and her dog, Dolly.

Fun Fact: Knows American Sign Language and loves to garden.

-Callie carried twins as a gestational surrogate in 2018 and did a second journey in 2020 and is embarking on a third journey now! Callie loves helping others and being part of the excitement when people help other people. Callie is an intake coordinator for Bright Futures Families and loves meeting all the generous people that are part of this journey. Callie’s team members describe her as sweet, compassionate, dauntless, and calming. 

Callie had this to say about the Bright Futures Families team: We are all different and mesh well, and we all have one thing in common – We love to help!

Family: She currently resides in Colorado with her husband, 2 daughters and 3 huge dogs.

Fun Fact: She loves to beat base spin and glitter! 

 

- Janelle completed a surrogacy journey in 2021, carrying a baby girl that would complete a family of four. Having seen close friends and family members face infertility while she was growing up, Janelle decided early in life that she would be a surrogate. Although she wears many hats in her family and her Colorado community, her favorite role is being the mother of three girls. She wants to help others on their journey to parenthood. As a part of our marketing team, Janelle is committed to spreading knowledge about surrogacy and the various ways to build a family. Her favorite part about working for Bright Futures Families is hearing inspirational stories and experiences from surrogates and intended parents. She likes that the BFF team is fun, professional, and knows how to leverage each other’s strengths to provide the best quality of services for intended parents and surrogates.
